Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015
from noon - 2 p.m PM.
Bread of Life will host its
annual Easter Dinner
at: St. Paul's Parish, 26 Washington St.
The dinner, as always, is free of charge, and open to anyone in need or alone
for the holiday, including families and senior citizens. No reservations needed.
Marty Murphy, owner of Marty's Caterers at Montvale Plaza in Stoneham, is once
again donating the turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing for Easter Dinner.
Also on the menu will be salad, bread and specialty desserts.
Marty’s Caterers is a great supporter of BOL and donates the catering for the
annual BOL Golf Tournament and Thanksgiving dinner.
The meal will be staffed by volunteers from St. Francis of Assisi Church in Medford,
coordinated by Vinny DiClemente, along with others from the community.
Easter baskets – 250 of them – are being distributed to homeless children who are sheltered with their families in local motels. The Easter baskets, filled with treats
such as candy, toys and other goodies, are donated by Oak Grove Improvement
Association (OGIA), coordinated by Carol Melle, Malden Catholic High School
National Honor Society, the Mackay Family of Wakefield, and
Freedom Hill Community Church in Malden, which is hosting an Easter party
for the kids. Each of the 90 homeless families also received an Easter gift bag of
toiletries from the Affirming Life Committee of St. Joseph’s Parish in Wakefield.
